Safe Space

A safe space to simply be!

The Rainbow Coffee House will be open from 3pm—5pm, or later tonight, Wed Oct. 9th.

Volunteers, Counselors and Friends will be there. No program, no agenda, simply there.

HS students, college students and supportive community members are all welcome today.

For any HS students who will be 18 by election day, here is some sound advice for the upcoming election.

You can sign up for LATE REGISTRATION from October 12th through the election day but this must be done at the local county election office.
Details about where, when and how can be found here
If you are unsure about your registration, double check at the site below.
For that matter, ALWAYS go to this page before you vote and print out a sample ballot. Depending upon exactly where you live, there WILL be a slew of very local candidates and issues that you will not have heard of. It took me several election cycles to start printing out a sample ballot but it takes time to look up all the candidates and all the issues. I take notes and bring the notes to the polling station.
Just pulled up my sample ballot.
15 Federal or State offices to vote for.
2 County offices
4 Initiatives
Medical Marijuana,
Loan for research funds,
Trapping on public lands
Marcy Law
Now some of you may be "too busy" to do all of the research. Not to fear, if you only want to vote for the top offices (President, US House Representative, and Governor), just go in and vote for them. Yes, your ballot is still valid even if you leave some items blank.
