About Billings Rainbow Coffeehouse

The mission of the Rainbow Coffee House is to build resilience in LGBTQ+ youth through healthy peer relationships, empowerment, leadership development, education, community outreach, and advocacy.

We meet every Thursday during the calendar school year at Grace United Methodist Church from 5:30pm-7:30pm. High-school aged youth are invited.

Rainbow Coffee House, Billings MT

The Rainbow Coffeehouse is a weekly drop-in center for High School aged youth who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex, two-spirit, queer, or are questioning their gender identity or sexual orientation as well as supportive youth allies (LGBTQ+). The RCH seeks to build resilience in LGBTQ+ youth through healthy peer relationships,  empowerment, leadership development, education, community outreach and advocacy.


406 Pride

Through education and outreach, 406 Pride works with the diverse populations of Montana to build unity, acceptance, and fellowship and to ensure that LGBTQ+ people are embraced as full members of society at home, at work, and throughout our community.

The 406 Pride Resource Center is located at 310 N. 27th Street in the North/West corner of Billings First UCC. The Resource Center is a space for LGBTQ+ people and allies to find community resources; parenting support; a meeting space for LGBTQ+ organizations; and community and fellowship.


406 Allies

406 Pride Allies is a support group on Facebook and an in-person support group for parents, siblings, and allies of LGBTQ+ persons. 406 Allies is a resource for non-LGBTQ+ parents, siblings, and allies who are seeking ways to process the coming out of an LGBTQ+ loved one and to increase our capacity to support our LGBTQ+ loved one.

406 Allies meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings each month at the 406 Pride Resource Center in Billings, MT from 7-8:30pm.

Gender Expansion Project

As an interdisciplinary and professionally focused organization, the Gender Expansion Project will work to further the understanding, care, treatment and acceptance of transgender, transsexual, intersex and gender diverse individuals. With an emphasis on the health and well being of these individuals, the Gender Expansion Project will work to further the understanding and treatment of gender identity disorders and related gender variant health concerns by professionals in medicine, psychology, law, social work, psychotherapy, family studies, sociology, anthropology, sexology, speech and voice therapy, among other related fields.

Western Montana Community Center

The Western Montana Community Center, located fosters a welcoming space for community members from Western Montana and surrounding areas. They offer community events and free space for LGBTQ individuals, groups, communities, and more to host one-time events or ongoing meetings focused on identity development and self-care, empowerment, leadership development, community engagement, and overall wellness. They strive to be Western Montana's voice for the LGBTIQ community and allies.

I Am Interchange is fostering curiosity, education and empathy by exploring the controversial and the provocative.

Interchange is a humanities project and talk show style event where artists, activists & entrepreneurs with different ideas and perspectives come together to address multiple topics and provoke thoughtful dialogue. Though a good mind flush of new ideas and creativity can offer wisdom and perspective to our own process and development. By doing so, we create a level platform for history, politics, religion, philosophy, criticism, ethics, self-consciousness, reason, creativity, human values and aspirations. We’ll develop our dialogue into a podcast that will be available worldwide. Founded in 2011.




Big Sky Pride

Big Sky Pride hosts an annual Pride parade and Pride events. The location of the event changes annually. Helena, MT is the host for the summer of 2019.

The Rainbow Coffee House keeps an updated list of churches in the Billings area that are fully inclusive of LGBTQ+ Persons.

Montana Gender Alliance Billings

The Montana Gender Alliance is a support and discussion group for individuals of gender diversity, their allies and supportive families. This is an open and accepting group for individuals of all ages.

This chapter meets on the 1st Saturday and 3rd Tuesday of every month @ 6:00pm – 8:00pm in Billings, MT.

MSUB Women and Gender Studies Center WGSC

Women’s and Gender Studies supports programs and research which examine the status, expectations and achievements of women on a local, regional and national level. The program is also committed to working closely with community members to provide support, programs and resources related to women's health, career opportunities, elevating the image and self-esteem of women and advancing the status of women. Through close cooperation with faculty, staff, students and the larger community, women’s and gender studies is dedicated to promoting equality and social justice in all forms while focusing on the needs of women at MSU Billings and the community.

The program supports the end of all discrimination based on gender, disability, ethnicity, gender identity, race, sexuality and socioeconomic class. In support of these goals, the program promotes cooperation with faculty and students across campus as well as community members to share their concerns, experiences and expertise to promote equality through seminars, special speakers, panel discussions and referral services and works closely with faculty and students involved in the Women’s Studies minor.

Support Hotlines

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) National Hotline: This national hotline provides telephone, online private one-to-one chat and email peer-support, as well as factual information and local resources for cities and towns across the US.
