About Billings Rainbow Coffeehouse

The mission of the Rainbow Coffee House is to build resilience in LGBTQ+ youth through healthy peer relationships, empowerment, leadership development, education, community outreach, and advocacy.

We meet every Thursday during the calendar school year at Grace United Methodist Church from 5:30pm-7:30pm. High-school aged youth are invited.

What to Expect

Here's what you can expect at Rainbow Coffeehouse when you arrive at Grace United Methodist Church on:

1935 Avenue B, Billings, MT 59102

A big Rainbow Coffeehouse sign out in front of the curved glass entrance.
Right as you step in the door you will find a nice lobby area set up with tables, chairs, couches, and pillows. We will have free brewed coffee, tea, hot chocolate, apple cider and snacks.
Beyond that you will find a chill environment where hospitality naturally flows.

There will be high school students from several Billings area schools as well as some home-schooled students. Some students arrive before the doors open. Others will show up fashionably late. Some will stay the whole time, while others may leave early. Most of the time is spent hanging out, playing board games, and simply enjoying a healthy welcoming community. At some point in the evening there will be a time of announcements and introduction.

There will be at least four trained and approved adult hosts and volunteers who have provided the snacks and will help the evening flow smoothly. There may also be a few approved student volunteers from Rocky's GSA or MSUB's OUT student groups.

We ask all students to be respectful of privacy and the coffeehouse is officially a no photo zone. Full details can be found in our confidentiality statement in our documents section.
